
Sr. Mechanical Designer

Job Description
An Employer is seeking multiple Sr. Mechanical Designers for a long-term opportunity in the Cincinnati, OH area. The Senior Mechanical Designer will be responsible for leading the design and coordination of HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems across a diverse portfolio of projects, including civic, education, transportation, and commercial facilities. This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership capability, and a collaborative mindset to deliver high-quality, sustainable building systems from concept through construction. The day-to-day responsibilities will include: lead projects from design from through construction documentation, developing HVAC and plumbing system layouts using Revit and AutoCAD, performing load calculations, equipment selection, and energy analysis as well as coordinating with mechanical designs with architects and structural, electrical, and civil engineers. They will have leadership to review shop drawings, submittals, and RFIs for technical accuracy and constructability. Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field 5+ years of experience in mechanical design for building systems Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and mechanical design software (e.g., Trane TRACE, Carrier HAP) Strong knowledge of building codes, ASHRAE standards, and LEED principles Excellent communication, coordination, and leadership skills PE would elevate this Mechanical Designer into a potential fit for a Sr. Mechanical Engineer (salary increase) Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred but not required
