Job Description Summary Associate Property Managers are responsible for maintaining our communities to a market-ready standard, ensuring a high level of service at all times. They also build and motivate high-performing teams to maximize property performance.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

Assisting the Regional Property Manager with overall operations of the building.

Ensuring the smooth running of our community in a fast-paced environment.

Overseeing all operations including maintenance, capital improvements, lease administration, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, collections, evictions, vacancy anticipation, marketing, lease renewals, service contracts, expense control, audits, and more.

Providing superior customer service and communication to residents and prospects to enhance satisfaction and increase renewals, revenue, reputation, and profitability.

Completing lease/renewal paperwork to ensure compliance with company standards.

Tracking and evaluating advertising and client traffic.

Leading by example and modeling the Cushman & Wakefield mission to be the best national management company.

Supervising day‑to‑day operations of the on‑site team and ensuring adherence to Cushman & Wakefield policies and procedures.

Interviewing, hiring, and coaching staff as necessary to maintain an effective team.

Maintaining resident files in accordance with company standards.

Creating a positive living environment through prompt conflict resolution and consistent follow‑up.

Managing and maintaining all aspects of the community budget and finances.

Working with leasing staff to achieve leasing/marketing goals.

Competencies

Effective communication and customer service skills.

Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office Suite and internet navigation skills.

General office, bookkeeping, and sales skills with excellent oral and written communication.

Ability to identify leasing opportunities for staff and set performance goals.

Team‑management skills.

Flexibility to perform related duties as required.

Important Education

Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

High School Diploma, GED, technical or vocational school required.

Important Experience

3+ years of property‑management experience.

1+ year of management experience.

Work Environment This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. The role requires travel between properties in varying weather conditions.

Physical Demands The physical demands include standing and walking for extended periods, ascending and descending staircases, ladders, and/or step stools, and traveling outside between buildings in varying outdoor weather conditions. The employee may also be required to remain in a stationary position (sit or stand) for about 85% of the time and operate office machinery regularly.

The compensation offered to the successful candidate will depend on whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, geographic area, market pay rates, and the candidate’s experience and qualifications.

The company will not pay less than the minimum wage for this role.
