We are seeking a
Bilingual Employee Relations Specialist
to support a positive and compliant workforce across both our office and active construction jobsites. This role plays a critical part in fostering strong employee relations, supporting safety initiatives, and partnering with field leadership to ensure a productive and engaged work environment.
This position is ideal for an HR professional who enjoys working directly with field teams, navigating complex employee relations matters, and supporting safety and compliance initiatives within a construction environment.
Key Responsibilities Employee Relations & Investigations
Serve as a trusted HR partner to employees, supervisors, and project leadership regarding workplace concerns and policy interpretation
Conduct objective investigations related to employee complaints, misconduct allegations, and policy violations
Provide guidance on conflict resolution, corrective action, and consistent policy application
Support performance management processes including documentation, counseling, and improvement plans
Jobsite Engagement & Culture
Maintain a visible HR presence across construction jobsites
Build strong relationships with craft workers, foremen, and superintendents
Identify opportunities to improve jobsite culture, engagement, and retention
Address employee concerns related to work conditions, schedules, and project dynamics
Partner closely with the Safety team on incident intake, documentation, and follow-up
Support workers’ compensation reporting, claim tracking, and return-to-work coordination
Collaborate with carriers, clinics, and internal stakeholders on treatment status and modified-duty plans
Assist with OSHA compliance efforts and internal safety protocols
Participate in post-incident reviews and corrective action planning
HR Operations & Compliance
Support onboarding and orientation for office and field employees
Assist with recruiting coordination for project roles as needed
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws (FLSA, ADA, FMLA, etc.)
Maintain accurate and confidential HR records and documentation
Support HR communications, policy updates, reporting, and training initiatives
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred
(or equivalent HR experience)
Bilingual in English and Spanish required
3+ years of Employee Relations or HR Generalist experience
Construction, industrial, or field-based workforce experience strongly preferred
Knowledge of OSHA regulations and jobsite safety practicesExperience supporting workers’ compensation and incident response processes
Strong conflict-resolution, investigation, and interpersonal skills
High level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality
Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Excel, etc.);
PowerBI a plus
HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) preferred
Based out of
North Richland Hills, TX
Regular travel to jobsites across
DFW, Houston, West Texas, and Amarillo
Occasional evening or weekend response related to employee relations or safety matters
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
This role includes time spent in both office and active construction environments and may require walking jobsites, climbing stairs, and extended standing.
The salary range for this position is
$55,000 – $70,000 , depending on experience, skills, and market conditions.
