Position Overview The Purchasing Agent 1 is responsible for reviewing and processing daily purchase order (PO) requests to support the timely procurement of materials and equipment.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the purchasing of materials and equipment to meet company needs.
Review requisitions and complete purchase orders accurately and in a timely manner.
Monitor and expedite material deliveries to ensure timely arrival.
Evaluate supplier bids based on price, terms, specifications, and delivery timelines; award contracts to the most suitable vendor.
Collaborate with field teams and warehouse staff to process material returns, reducing excess inventory and supporting cost efficiency.
Process debit memos for damaged goods or items billed but not shipped.
Review and approve billing disputes.
Reliable and punctual attendance is essential to this role.
Secondary Responsibilities
Provide backup support for other purchasing roles as needed.
