Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Agent to support a manufacturing facility in Conway, SC. This role is responsible for sourcing materials, placing orders, and maintaining inventory levels to ensure smooth production operations.
Key Responsibilities
Source and purchase materials, supplies, and equipment
Create and manage purchase orders
Communicate with vendors regarding pricing, availability, and delivery timelines
Track orders and ensure timely delivery
Maintain accurate purchasing and inventory records
Work closely with production and warehouse teams to meet material needs
Assist with cost control and supplier performance
Qualifications
Previous purchasing, procurement, or administrative experience preferred
Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office; Excel experience a plus)
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail
Requirements
Drug test required
Background check required
