Role Description RK Photography & Productions is expanding our roster of elite, reliable 1099 Contract Photographers for upcoming high-volume school portrait contracts within the Frisco area.
If you are a seasoned wedding second-shooter, an experienced portrait photographer, or a highly skilled recent graduate looking for consistent weekday contract work, without the burden of post-production, we want to connect with you.
The Hook: You shoot. You hand over the memory cards. You go home. We handle 100% of the editing, client communication, and fulfillment through our centralized digital pipeline.
What You Will Do:
Execute high-volume, fast-paced student and staff portraits on-site at local campuses.
Follow a strict, standardized lighting and posing rubric to ensure absolute consistency across our brand.
Provide an exceptional, high-energy, and efficient experience for students and campus faculty.
The Requirements (Please read carefully):
Background Check:
You MUST be able to pass a rigorous, district-mandated JD Palatine background check. This is a non-negotiable requirement for working on public school campuses.
Professional Camera Gear:
Must own a professional full-frame camera body and an appropriate portrait lens (e.g., 50mm, 85mm, or 24-70mm f/2.8).
Lighting & Modifiers:
You must own and operate a professional off-camera flash system capable of keeping up with high-volume shooting (e.g., Godox AD400/AD600, Profoto, or equivalent 400Ws+ monolight). Must include a large, soft modifier (e.g., 43"+ white shoot-through umbrella or octabox) and a heavy-duty light stand.
Backdrop System:
Must own a portable backdrop stand and a standard medium-grey seamless paper or wrinkle-free vinyl backdrop (exact color codes/requirements will be provided upon interview).
Reliability:
You must have a proven track record of punctuality. School picture days start early (typically 6:30 AM call times) and require sustained focus.
Business Status:
Must be willing to operate as a 1099 Independent Contractor.
Compensation:
Flat Day Rate: [$250 - $350] per shoot day (depending on experience and lead vs. assistant roles).
