Job Summary The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a Digital Asset and Content Manager. Member of the Strategic Communications & Marketing team responsible for managing the university's digital asset ecosystem, including photography, video, graphics, and brand resources. Oversee the Digital Asset Management (DAM) system and ensure institutional assets are properly cataloged, searchable, and accessible to support marketing, communications, and storytelling initiatives across the university.

Responsibilities
Administer and maintain the university's Digital Asset Management (DAM) system, ensuring assets are properly uploaded, cataloged, tagged, and searchable.
Develop and manage metadata standards, taxonomy structures, and file organization protocols to support efficient asset discovery and long‑term archival management.
Collaborate with creative, multimedia, marketing, and communications teams to ingest photography, video, graphics, and campaign materials into the asset library.
Ensure brand compliance by maintaining official libraries of logos, templates, graphics, photography, and visual brand elements for institutional use.
Manage asset lifecycle including version control, archival procedures, licensing restrictions, and usage rights for photography, video, and creative materials.
Identify asset gaps and collaborate with multimedia and creative teams to prioritize development of new visual and storytelling resources aligned with institutional priorities.
Analyze asset library usage and institutional storytelling needs to identify gaps in photography, video, and visual storytelling assets; collaborate with multimedia and marketing teams to prioritize future content creation.
Maintain awareness of emerging technologies and best practices in digital asset management, metadata governance, and content organization.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of digital asset management systems, metadata structures, taxonomy design, and digital file organization principles.
Understanding of multimedia file formats including photography, video, design files, and marketing assets.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong project management and communication skills required to maintain consistent asset governance and support enterprise storytelling initiatives.
Ability to work collaboratively with creative, multimedia, marketing, and communications teams.
Ability to train users on asset management tools and promote adoption of systems across an organization.
Ability to evaluate emerging technologies and systems that improve digital content management.
Ability to work independently while coordinating across multiple teams.
Ability to manage large volumes of digital content while maintaining consistent organizational standards.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required.
At least one year of experience managing digital media libraries, marketing assets, content repositories, or similar digital content management/editing systems.
Preferred Qualifications
Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud file formats, Lightroom, photography and video file types, and marketing asset workflows preferred.
