Duties and Responsibilities
Develops, coordinates, and conducts training sessions on student conduct processes for campus stakeholders, including Student Conduct Hearing Officers, the Student Conduct Appeal Board, student employees, and staff.
Serves as a point of contact for campus partners seeking information about student conduct processes, educational workshops, and OSC training offerings.
Provides staff support in implementing campus-wide education programs on student conduct, integrity, accountability, and community standards.
Assists in the initial coordination of rights and responsibilities processes concerning initial investigation information and appeals processes.
Plans, coordinates, and supports outreach efforts, including presentations, tabling events, and communication materials that promotes student awareness of rights, responsibilities, and conduct processes.
Manages the coordination of nominations, appointments, and trainings of the Student Conduct Appellate Board.
Manages and maintains the online case management system (Maxient), including inputting/updating information and troubleshooting system‑related problems.
Assists with the background checks of student disciplinary records in response to requests from the federal government, state government, internal UH departments, other universities, private industry, etc.
Provides administrative support, including fiscal, travel, personnel, etc., for the Office of Student Conduct as assigned by the Director or Assistant Director.
Compiles and provides appropriate data and narrative as required by federal and state agencies.
Supervises and trains student employees who assist with outreach, educational materials preparation, office management, and event support.
Assists in conducting research on student trends, rights and responsibilities, and academic integrity to inform the development of proactive student conduct programming.
Assists the Director in designing and implementing training curricula and developing clear, student‑friendly program documentation (e.g., flowcharts, case pathways, decision guides, and FAQs) aligned with established policies, procedures, and case management best practices.

Minimum Qualifications
Possession of a baccalaureate degree in Education, Counseling, Social Sciences, Communication, Public Administration, or related field and 1 year(s) of progressively responsible professional experience with responsibilities for student services, student conduct, training & development, and/or educational programming or any equivalent combination of education and/or professional work experience which provides the required education, knowledge, skills and abilities as indicated.
Functional knowledge of principles, practices, and techniques in the area of student development and training principles demonstrated by knowledge, understanding, and ability to apply concepts and terminology.
Functional knowledge and understanding of principles, theories, federal and state laws, rules, regulations, and systems associated with student services.
Demonstrated ability to recognize problems, identify possible causes, and resolve the full range of issues that may commonly occur in the area of student services, educational programming, and/or student development.
Demonstrated ability to understand oral and written documentation, write reports and procedures, and communicate effectively in a variety of situations.
Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external organizations, groups, team members, and individuals.
Demonstrated ability to operate a personal computer, apply word processing, spreadsheet and database software.
Experience in providing educational services, counseling, and/or other assistance to students, with some emphasis on direct service to college students.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including demonstrated experience in handling difficult interactions and situations with tact, diplomacy, and professionalism.
Ability to work effectively with students, faculty, staff, community, federal, and state agencies.
Ability to manage sensitive information and files containing confidential student information.
Desirable Qualifications
General knowledge and/or experience with UH policies and procedures.
Experience developing training materials, flowcharts, or educational content.
