Director of AI Change Enablement
,
you are the chief architect and hands-on driver of the human side of our AI transformation. Reporting to the VP of the Office of AI Transformation, you will be orchestrating the enterprise-wide transition to an AI-powered workforce. This is a high-impact, individual contributor role for a "hands-on doer" who can design a customized change strategy and then roll up their sleeves to make it a reality. You will own the people, behavior, and adoption outcomes of eBay's AI evolution-serving as a trusted advisor across the company to shift culture and build AI fluency across our global teams. The ideal candidate bridges the gap between executive vision and employee reality. You will expertly advise leadership on how AI reshapes operating models and decision-making, while simultaneously creating the communications, training, and role recommendations that bring those changes to life. If you are a transformation expert with "AI gravitas" and the grit to turn technical potential into realized business value, this is your role. What You Will Do
Own and shape the AI change enablement strategy and roadmap for eBay's AI-enabled workforce transformation.
Get engagement and alignment on outcomes for each business unit and teams.
Develop the high-stakes communications, "AI Literacy" training frameworks, and adoption playbooks that will be used to motivate change across the enterprise.
Act as a strategic partner to VPs and senior leaders, guiding them through the organizational trade-offs required to move from AI experimentation to scale.
Use org design skills to drive the workforce evolution: and map out the "future of work" roles and skills required for a high-performing, AI-augmented workforce.
Craft and deliver a compelling change narrative that address both the innovative potential of AI and the cultural anxieties surrounding automation and change.
Define and measure key outcomes directly tied to behavior change, AI fluency, and business strategies to ensure the transformation delivers tangible return on investment.
Partner with People, Global Tech, and Communication teams to ensure adoption strategies are grounded in responsible AI practices and clear communication.
Partner with the AI Workflow Transformation Director to translate technical capabilities into 'human-centric' value propositions and identify 'AI Champions' to stress-test new tools.
What You Bring
You bring 10+ years of experience leading high-stakes change management, business transformation, or organizational development initiatives within a global enterprise. You have a consistent track record in digital enablement at a global tech company, where you've learned to speak "product" and "engineering" as fluently as you speak "human."
You possess deep expertise in organizational design-leveraging methodologies like the Star Model or McKinsey 7S-to architect future-state roles and transition plans.
You maintain a strong conceptual command of AI, including GenAI, LLMs, and governance, allowing you to bridge the gap between technical capability and human readiness.
You thrive as a senior individual contributor, possessing the "player-architect" mentality required to build a training guide from scratch in the morning and present to the Board in the afternoon.
You are a strong systems thinker who intuitively sees the ripple effects of a new technology across an entire organizational ecosystem.
You are a persuasive storyteller who can distill complex, AI concepts into clear, exciting narratives that win over non-technical audiences.
You have a relentless bias for action, with the autonomy to build your own project plans and implement them without needing a roadmap handed to you.
You are a resilient and compassionate leader who understands that AI can be met with fear, and you have the strategic toolkit to transform that resistance into curiosity .
