Overview
Our client is seeking a Director of Business Systems & PMO to lead enterprise systems strategy, analytics, and process improvement initiatives. This role acts as a key connector between business stakeholders and technology teams, ensuring systems—including ERP, WMS, integrations, and analytics platforms—drive measurable operational and financial impact.
The Director will oversee business analysis, project management, master data governance, and analytics, ensuring technology investments align with organizational priorities and are supported by strong processes and high‑quality data.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop teams across business analysis, project management, master data, and analytics
- Build and execute a business systems roadmap aligned with organizational goals
- Establish governance frameworks, documentation standards, and change‑management practices
Systems & Process Optimization
- Drive automation, integration, and process improvement to eliminate inefficiencies
- Oversee the full lifecycle of business‑critical systems in partnership with application development teams
- Ensure strong PMO delivery standards, consistent methodology, and portfolio visibility
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Manage escalations, remove blockers, and provide executive-level insight into project status, risks, and timelines
- Partner with IT leadership and service delivery teams on cross-functional initiatives
- Serve as the primary liaison, translating business needs into technical solutions
Data & Analytics
- Develop and enforce data governance and master data quality standards
- Oversee development and maintenance of Power BI dashboards, reporting, and data infrastructure
- Use analytics to identify trends, risks, and operational opportunities for leadership
- Manage relationships with software vendors, system integrators, and third‑party partners
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field
- 7+ years of progressive experience in business systems, enterprise applications, or IT leadership
- 3+ years of experience managing multi‑disciplinary teams
- Hands-on experience with major ERP platforms (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.) and WMS
- Demonstrated experience in data governance, master data management, and analytics
- Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and operational priorities
- Strong communication skills, including stakeholder management and executive-level presentation
- PMP, ITIL, or Six Sigma certifications preferred
- Experience with Power BI or similar analytics platforms preferred
