Compensation : Base $180K - $275K with Bonus
ABOUT THE COMPANY (CONFIDENTIAL)
A fast-growing regional education services organization in Southern California is seeking a transformational Head of Marketing. The company partners closely with school districts to deliver student-centered, wellness-focused programs designed to enhance engagement, belonging, and overall student well-being. As the company continues to scale, it would like to hire a well-rounded, strategic, entrepreneurial B2B2C marketing leader to take the business to its next growth phase. The business’ Orange County office is on a Hybrid schedule; relocation will not be provided.
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Head of Marketing will rebuild and elevate the marketing function into a proactive, insight-led growth engine. This leader will define the company’s market position, strengthen its narrative, and develop a high-performing team aligned with revenue-generating goals. Reporting directly to the CEO, this executive will lead a marketing team while partnering closely with Sales, Customer Experience, and senior leadership to achieve growth objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Together with CEO, develop and implement account-based marketing and CRM strategies to enable continuous business growth through opening new accounts and existing renewals.
- Transform marketing into a strategic, revenue-aligned function with clear priorities and accountability.
- Establish planning discipline, operational processes, and team structure.
- Partner with Sales leadership and frontline teams to prioritize high-impact pipeline opportunities and accelerate complex deals.
- Develop strategic collateral, competitive positioning, and compelling narratives to support RFPs, advance deals, and keep priority leads warm.
- Track district trends, leadership shifts, funding signals, and engagement triggers.
- Define a unified brand voice and clarify value proposition.
- Lead regional events, sponsorships, and district-facing engagements.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience operating and scaling systems within mid-size commercial organizations.
- Proven ability to build and lead revenue-focused departments that drive strategic growth.
- Deep expertise supporting sales organizations through account-based marketing and sales enablement capabilities.
- Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Preferred experience in concentrated customer bases, outsourced performance marketing, customer lifecycle marketing, and field/event-driven growth.
- An entrepreneurial leader who can build/transform functions from the ground up and execute at both strategic and tactical levels.
