JOB SUMMARY

As the Associate Manager of Performance Marketing, you’ll support the strategic development and execution of initiatives to attract new customers and build loyalty with existing customers. You will flex your current channel expertise and grow into new areas as well, including advertising, email, and lead generation/acquisition. You’ll leverage your industry interest and business acumen to manage the execution of CRM, media and acquisition plays from development to implementation, leading to the best business results. You’ll collaborate with internal and external teams to achieve acquisition and retention retail goals. Create reporting and analyze data to optimize acquisition and retention strategies for Sunnyside locations nationwide, driving tickets, increasing basket size, attracting new customers and driving visit frequency.

CORE JOB DUTIES

  • Execute paid media for Sunnyside, Cresco Labs’ national retail brand, creating and executing traditional and digital ad campaigns to drive tickets and build baskets.
  • Coordinate with external agencies for day-to-day management and support of campaigns in-flight and in-progress.
  • Ensure campaign launch timelines and media activation alignment with internal teams, agencies, and vendors; support stakeholders to hit in-market launch dates.
  • Implement and drive national and regional email and text marketing initiatives to increase tickets and lift ticket value, including list-building, developing or enhancing automated campaigns, and sharing best practices with regional teams.
  • Manage ongoing development of Sunnyside’s lead generation programs, including medical patient acquisition; manage vendors to enhance pay-for-performance value and source new opportunities for multi-state acquisition plays with measurable results.
  • Compile data and insights for monthly/quarterly reports on marketing performance; collaborate with Marketing Analytics to identify KPIs and improve measurement frameworks and touchpoints.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on segmentation and targeting for Sunnyside marketing channels.
  • Identify and evaluate performance marketing vendors; stay informed of cannabis industry activities and evolving marketing approaches and best practices.
  • Coordinate cross-functional partners and agency teams to ensure timely and quality creative asset delivery; support the creative process when media, email, text or lead generation is the focal point of execution.
  • Track and update budget and spend changes, including invoice management and reconciliation.
  • Act as a national subject-matter expert for CRM, media and acquisition solutions and share knowledge with cross-functional partners.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in media planning/analysis
  • 2+ years of experience in email/text marketing; workflow/customer journey experience is a plus
  • Current channel expertise and experience in learning new methods of advertising, email, and lead generation/acquisition
  • Retail and CPG experience, including direct-to-consumer tactics
  • Experience planning and/or managing traditional paid media channels (print, out-of-home, direct mail)
  • Experience planning and directing digital media, including knowledge of the programmatic landscape
  • Knowledge of digital marketing tools (e.g., Ad Servers, Google Analytics, Ad Words)
  • Experience with email and text marketing platform strategy (e.g., Customer.io, Alpine IQ)
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with the ability to communicate insights to influence actions
  • Strong communications skills to convey ideas and drive collaboration across teams
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with a track record of seeing processes through
  • Genuine interest in and passion for the cannabis industry

In accordance with local and state compensation laws, the listed compensation range is an estimate and final offer details will consider location, market data, skills and experience.

Pay Range: $80,000 - $85,000 USD
