Job Summary
As a Senior Key Account Manager, you will be responsible for developing, growing and shaping the medical market in the US. This position is responsible for identifying, capturing and nurturing high‑potential opportunities in direct exchange with strategic accounts and as the medical market expert with our extended sales force of regional sales managers and channel sales. Be a driving force to identify market needs and shape future innovative products and solutions. Make an impact by contributing to improving patient outcomes and quality of life on large scales. Take ownership of customer relationships and collaborate with all global stakeholders using Sensirion core values of Teamwork, Top Performance and Fair & Honest.
Job Profile
- Drive growth of our business in the medical market in the Americas.
- Develop, manage, and nurture partnerships with strategic customers.
- Build key relationships with decision makers that influence design, application, service, and procurement of Sensirion products.
- Coordinate and align with Swiss‑based Medical Market Director and the Market Managers for the different medical applications as well as the local medical FAE in Chicago.
- Obtain market share with new sensors and in new focus applications such as drug delivery or respiratory devices.
- Maintain and expand on existing customer relationships and production delivery through ongoing regulatory‑driven support and forecasting.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams by communicating consistently, managing expectations, setting priorities, and engaging various resources (e.g. FAE team, Product Management, Distribution, Sales Reps) locally and globally to execute action items and support customer initiatives.
- Work with CRM systems and continuously publish and share relevant customer meeting minutes to align with all the teams involved.
- Work with Marketing, Product Management, Vertical Market teams to launch application‑based landing pages (scaling our know‑how, optimizing support, and increasing visibility in the market as recognized expert).
- Perform other job‑related duties as assigned (e.g., forecasting, attending trade shows, special Sales and Marketing projects and campaigns).
- Domestic travel required as well as international travel (twice per year to HQ in Switzerland).
Your Profile
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Physics (or equivalent) with a strong technical background and interest.
- 8+ years of technical project lead experience or technical sales experience.
- Strong communication skills and enjoy consulting and solving customer problems by finding mutually beneficial solutions.
- Welcomes and operates well in growing, changing, and dynamic environment/team.

- Problem solving and continuous improvement mentality.
- Goal and customer‑oriented with an independent working style with the ability to organize and set priorities.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working for a culturally diverse global company.
- Experience with medical device manufacturing.
- Previous experience working with external sales channels (reps, distributors, contract manufacturers, etc.).
- Interest in medical topics/devices/treatments (no in-depth medical knowledge required).
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer (typing, answering the phone, participating in online meetings, etc.).
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
