The Switcher I is responsible for the transport of full and empty trailers between the docks and the designated drop parking locations in the "Trailer Yard" to support the inbound unloading and the outbound loading warehouse operations in a safe, accurate, and efficient manner. This position will perform inspections of the trailers for any discovered issues of mechanical maintenance needs before moving, tagging out any trailers requiring attention, and communicating any discovered issues to warehouse management and, or fleet maintenance. This position may also occasionally be required to operate a forklift and, or other PIT equipment within the warehouse. Duties & Responsibilities

Transport full and empty trailers between the docks and designated drop parking spaces Inspect trailers before transporting to identify issues of mechanical maintenance needs and, or potential safety hazards Maintain organization of the trailer yard to ensure the efficient and safe transport of trailers Maintain cleanliness and safety of work area and warehouse Perform other tasks including pallet building as determined and requested by management May perform duties other than switching as assigned Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Require continuously climbing steps to get in and out of Switcher Tractor Ability to read, write, and use a radio Ability to work in a fast-paced atmosphere while walking and repetitively lifting 30 lbs Ability to lift, up to 75 lbs Ability to collaborate within a team environment Ability to coordinate and organize efficient and dependable warehouse processes Ability to adapt to needs of role in different work areas throughout the workday and meet minimum expectations of those different work areas Ability to read and interpret instructions from a computer screen Attention to detail and ability to differentiate our packages Ability to work while exposed to the elements and in a noisy and non-climate controlled (Hot in summer, cold in winter) environment Intentional self-starter who takes initiative and proactively seeks out value-add opportunities Flexibility in Scheduling is required as work hours are subject to change based on business demands Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED Knowledge acquired through 1 to up to 3 years of work experience Valid driver's license Preferred Qualifications

PIT (Powered Industrial Truck) Certification including Pallet Jack, Forklift, Double Forklift, and Switch Tractor. Work Environment
