Job Description
The role of an Order Management Specialist involves processing and managing complex orders, inquiries, and issues related to products. The specialist acts as a key point of contact to ensure accurate order processing, timely communication, and resolution of issues while supporting internal departments.
Responsibilities
Receive, review, and enter purchase orders into the ERP system (SAP) accurately and efficiently.
Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding order status, product availability, pricing, and delivery timelines.
Resolve order issues, problems, and discrepancies in a professional and timely manner.
Coordinate closely with internal departments including Sales, Planning, Shipping, and Production.
Maintain accurate records, order documentation, and communication logs.
Support continuous improvement efforts related to order processing workflows.
Provide backup support for other team members as needed.
Perform additional duties as assigned to support department operations.
Participate in customer meetings to support delivery concerns.
Record and process orders and/or inquiries received via EDI, email, etc.
Provide pricing, availability, and schedule information within established guidelines.
Review, approve, and confirm orders within the SAP system.
Analyze EDI schedule data and communicate with the supply chain regarding any discrepancies from previous revisions.
Research and obtain resolutions for a variety of concerns and issues.
Serve as a communication link between internal and external staff to assure responsiveness through internal team meetings.
Track order activity and alert appropriate staff of any potential delivery problems.
Expedite the delivery of selected orders.
Coordinate with all departments to ensure fulfillment of customer requests.
Complete special projects or tasks as assigned by the Team Lead or Supply Chain Manager.
Work Environment
The work environment consists of a standard 8-5 pm work shift, with an on-site presence required 100%. You will be part of a large team of individuals working in medium-height cubicles within a state-of-the-art production facility equipped with large and heavy machinery and equipment. The office environment is modern and well-equipped.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Loves Park, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
