Work Arrangement
This hybrid role requires in-office presence at our New York City location for a minimum of two days per week. Candidates should be based within commuting distance of the NYC office or be able to relocate.
The Opportunity
As a mid-level professional and first-level account manager, you will be the day-to-day lead on various client accounts. This hands-on role will allow you to engage in daily activities while managing program execution, ensuring exceptional client service, and maintaining high-quality standards. You'll have a comprehensive understanding of your clients' businesses and share this knowledge with your team. Join Method's Leadership Team, collaborating with HR, Finance, and Operations on internal initiatives.
Responsibilities
Agency Leadership
- Contribute to decision-making on various issues affecting the agency, including new business, best practices, client service, and performance management.
- Collaborate with People Ops to foster a high-performance team, assist in talent acquisition, and deliver constructive feedback to meet role requirements.
- Mentor direct reports and ensure quarterly reviews are conducted to set career development goals.
Account Leadership
- Provide strategic guidance on well-researched PR and integrated marketing programs, addressing sensitive client issues and adapting strategies as needed.
- Deliver Method's Concierge Service Delivery Approach to clients and teams.
- Set goals for team members and clients, ensuring effective execution of client strategies.
- Encourage collaboration to produce high-quality work.
- Develop compelling written content and newsworthy pitches that align with client objectives, coaching your team to excel in these areas.
- Forge relationships with a variety of journalists and publications to secure media coverage across channels, guiding your team in similar efforts.
Business Development
- Expand your professional network to enhance the Method brand and grow our client services portfolio.
- Participate in new business pitches, ensuring thorough research and polished presentations.
- Support organic growth by broadening the scope of work with existing clients.
Additional Responsibilities
- Lead your account team to deliver high-quality work, streamline processes, and ensure prompt handling of client requests.
- Assist in tracking and managing budgets to support executive and leadership responsibilities.
- Engage in account staffing and evaluate team structures to optimize account quality and profitability.
What We're Looking For
- 4-8 years of experience (or equivalent) in public relations, communications, marketing, or related fields.
- Proven ability to design and implement integrated communications programs aligned with business objectives.
- Established media relationships, including journalists and influencers.
- Flexible management style with the ability to coach and mentor, overseeing multiple direct reports effectively.
- Strong editing and writing skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills to manage deadlines and deliverables.

Salary Ranges
We believe in competitive and equitable compensation. The salary for this role will be determined by various factors, including education, relevant experience, and geographic location.
- Salary Range: $80,000.00 - $105,000
