On Cue Hire is seeking a Sr Field/Show Producer for our client, a growing news broadcast organization, in DC.

Join a well-established and still rapidly expanding news organization in DC as a Sr Producer. This is a full-time position in a news environment. This is a Weekday M-F 9-6 shift opening. We are seeking candidates coming in with live news production experience at a national or local news network.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough research using social media, news wires, websites, and industry contacts to generate innovative story ideas.
  
  
• Identify and prioritize news stories that will create engaging and provocative television content.
  
  
• Delegate tasks efficiently to associate producers, assignment editors, and video editors to ensure smooth production workflows.
  
  
• Produce high-quality news segments under tight deadlines, maintaining accuracy and consistency.
  
  
• Keep abreast of local events, political developments, and emerging trends to ensure timely and relevant coverage.
  
  
• Actively participate in editorial discussions to influence the strategic direction of news programming.
  
  
• Excel in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, demonstrating exceptional editorial judgment and precision.
  
  
• Craft engaging teases to captivate and retain the audience, showcasing strong writing skills.
  
  
• Apply meticulous attention to detail and sound judgment to uphold high editorial standards.
  
  
• Interact with viewers and users on social media platforms to enhance audience engagement and loyalty.
  
  
• Demonstrate flexibility by working various shifts.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, business, or a related field is preferred.
  
  
• Possess strong writing and organizational abilities, capable of producing content under tight deadlines.
  
  
• At least 2 years of experience in line producing a newscast.
  
  
• Exhibit a keen eye for detail, with the ability to collect, analyze, and ensure the accuracy of information.
  
  
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
  
  
• Display a proactive attitude and a solutions-focused approach to address challenges efficiently.
