Job Summary
We are seeking a Cyber Security Analyst to support email security operations in a large enterprise environment. This role will focus on reviewing and analyzing emails flagged by a newly implemented tool, Abnormal AI, which has recently gone live in production. The analyst will play a critical role in identifying phishing, malware, and other threats that bypass automated security controls, ensuring timely escalation and response to confirmed threats.
Key Responsibilities
Revi ew and analyze emails flagged by Abnormal AI. Validate whether emails are true positives or false positives. Investigate suspicious links, attachments, sender behavior, and headers. Escalate and alert confirmed threats according to the phishing response playbook. Collaborate with automated security tooling that blocks most malicious emails upfront. Work closely with the broader security team as part of daily operations. Required Qualifications
Hands-on cybersecurity experience. Strong background in email analysis, including identifying phishing and malware attempts. Experience working with email security tools (e.g., Proofpoint, Microsoft EOP, or similar). Ability to analyze emails that bypass multiple automated controls. Comfortable working in a manual review process. Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Abnormal AI. SOC or phishing response experience. Familiarity with automated phishing playbooks or incident response work flows. Seniority
Flexible - open to mid-level or senior candidates with relevant experience. Certifications
None required; certifications in cybersecurity or email security tools are a plus.
