Overview

We are seeking a

Cyber Security Analyst

to support email security operations for a large enterprise environment. This role will focus on reviewing and analyzing emails flagged by a newly implemented tool,

Abnormal AI , which has recently gone live in production.

The ideal candidate has handson experience analyzing emails for phishing, malware, and other threats, and is comfortable making judgment calls to determine true positives versus false positives. While the environment is highly automated, this role is critical for analyzing emails that make it past multiple security controls.

What You'll Be Doing Review and analyze emails flagged by

Abnormal AI Validate whether emails are

true positives or false positives Investigate suspicious links, attachments, sender behavior, and headers Escalate and alert confirmed threats according to the phishing response playbook Work alongside automated security tooling that blocks most malicious emails upfront Collaborate with the broader security team as part of daily operations Required Qualifications

Handson

cybersecurity experience Strong background in

email analysis , including identifying phishing and malware attempts Experience working with

email security tools

(e.g., Proofpoint, Microsoft EOP, or similar) Ability to analyze emails that bypass multiple automated controls Comfortable working in a somewhat manual review process Nice to Have (Not Required)

Experience with

Abnormal AI SOC or phishing response experience Familiarity with automated phishing playbooks or incident response workflows Seniority
