
Manager, IS Interface and Integration (Epic)

GENERAL SUMMARY
The Manager, IS Interface and Integration provides leadership across interface development and support, legacy data conversions, and related platform services, ensuring reliable system interoperability and high-quality data exchange. The role operates independently while collaborating closely with the Director and senior leadership to address complex issues, manage risk, and guide strategic initiatives. Reports to departmental leadership.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Leads, plans, and coordinates the operational performance of integration, platform, and application service functions across service teams within Information Services, ensuring reliable system interoperability and high-quality data exchange. Oversees daily operations for assigned services, ensuring work is planned, prioritized, and executed in alignment with organizational objectives and service expectations. Provides direct management and oversight for the Interface and Integration Analyst I, II, and III roles, including workload planning, prioritization, and performance accountability. Maintains 24-hour operational accountability for assigned teams and services, addressing escalations, risks, and complex issues as required. Leads, manages, coaches, and trains a team or department, provides guidance, support, and mentors to ensure optimal performance and productivity. Oversees the recruitment, hiring, team/department orientation, performance appraisals and disciplinary actions including up to termination processes for a team or department. Performs all other duties as assigned.
LICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS Required Licenses and/or Certifications Epic Certification training should be attended at the first available class, and certification/accreditation in the applicable module(s) must be current or obtained within 30 calendar days of completing training.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Required Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field required, or relevant combination of education and experience. 5 or more years of progressive experience required in leading information systems operations, integrations, and platform services in Information Services or related business areas, including demonstrated experience leading technical teams and/or complex system initiatives.
Preferred Education and Experience Master's degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. Prior experience managing integration, interface, or interoperability services in a healthcare or regulated environment preferred.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Strong understanding of system integrations, interfaces, and interoperability concepts in enterprise environments. Working knowledge of healthcare messaging and interoperability standards, including Health Level Seven (HL7). Ability to oversee and coordinate multiple concurrent interface, integration, and data conversion workstreams. Ability to manage complex stakeholder communications, including executive-level interactions. Strong organizational, planning, and prioritization skills with the ability to balance competing priorities. Ability to identify risks early, develop mitigation strategies, and manage operational issues proactively. Strong leadership, coaching, accountability, and team development skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to operate independently while aligning work with organizational strategy, governance, and objectives.
