Your role and responsibilities
Discovery & Value Definition
Conduct executive discovery with CIO/CTO/CFO/FinOps stakeholders to assess cloud cost challenges and optimization levers Build a FinOps use‑case backlog (e.g., cloud cost transparency, cost sharing, anomaly detection, unit economics, Kubernetes cost allocation, forecasting…) Translate financial and operational goals into measurable KPIs and dashboards FinOps Advisory & Architecture
Advise on FinOps capabilities, maturity models, cost allocation frameworks, tagging/labeling strategies, and usage optimization approaches Design target architectures using Cloudability, Kubecost, and Turbonomic Define KPI suites (e.g., cost per service/app/team, rightsizing metrics, container efficiency, reserved‑instance/savings‑plan coverage…) Solution Design & Data Integration
Build data pipelines for cloud billing sources across AWS, Azure, GCP, and container platforms Configure Cloudability modules, Kubecost allocations, and Turbonomic optimization policies Create dashboards for engineering, finance, and operations teams Technical & Business Validation
Lead proofs‑of‑value using customer data to demonstrate optimization benefits and financial impact Develop cost‑saving scenarios, baseline/target comparisons, and ROI models RFP/RFI Leadership & Thought Leadership
Produce high‑quality RFI/RFP responses with a strong FinOps focus Represent the company at events, webinars, and internal enablement sessions Customer Feedback & Collaboration
Collaborate with product and engineering teams to provide structured customer feedback Support customers in establishing FinOps governance, domains, and operational cadences Example FinOps Use Cases
Cloud cost transparency and cost sharing across accounts, subscriptions, and services Kubernetes cost allocation and container rightsizing with Kubecost Automated optimization and resource assurance with Turbonomic Budgeting and forecasting of cloud spend Anomaly detection and governance policy design Required education
University degree (Bachelor or higher) in Finance, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a similar field Experience
An extensive track record in Presales, as Solutions Consultant, or in a Sales Engineering role You have worked with IT departments in different industries and company sizes Experience engaging with IT, Cloud, DevOps, and Finance stakeholders Strong value‑selling capability and executive communication skills FinOps Knowledge
Strong understanding of cloud cost models and FinOps practices Hands‑on experience with Cloudability, Kubecost, or Turbonomic (or similar cloud cost tools) Strong data modeling, visualization, and financial analysis skills Familiarity with cloud billing, tagging, Kubernetes, and automation concepts Languages
Fluent in German and English (written and spoken at least C1) Knowledge of other European languages is a plus Preferred technical and professional experience
FinOps Practitioner/Professional or equivalent certification Experience with hybrid/multi‑cloud cost management Experience with BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau Knowledge of ITFM/TBM frameworks (secondary focus) ABOUT BUSINESS UNIT
