Instructional Designer

The Instructional Designer will develop high-quality learning materials—including e-learning modules, instructor-led content, and job aids—for a large training modernization initiative. This role collaborates closely with subject matter experts to transform complex technical information into engaging, accessible, and effective learning experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop instructional content such as presentations, handouts, CBT modules, guides, and job aids.
Apply adult learning theory and instructional design best practices across all deliverables.
Develop storyboards, course outlines, and instructional plans aligned with learning objectives.
Collaborate with SMEs to collect, clarify, and organize technical information.
Track project milestones, manage timelines, and communicate progress proactively.
Conduct content reviews and ensure accuracy, consistency, and accessibility (WCAG 2.2).
Support evaluation and feedback collection to improve training effectiveness.
Develop SCORM-compliant e-learning using Adobe Captivate (Classic or New version).
Ensure all materials meet branding, template, and quality control requirements.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Training, or related field.
3+ years of experience in instructional design.
Strong understanding of ADDIE methodology and adult learning principles.
Experience with Adobe Captivate, Learning Management Systems, and content authoring tools.
Experience designing technical or operational training programs.
Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG 2.2).
Strong communication and collaboration skills with SMEs and stakeholders.
Preferred: Project management certification (PMP or similar).
