
Senior Instructional Designer/Developer

Overview
We are seeking a Senior SAP Instructional Designer to support the design, development, and delivery of customized, role-based blended learning programs for SAP implementation and upgrade initiatives. This role is ideal for someone who combines strong instructional design expertise with hands‑on SAP training experience and the ability to create engaging learning solutions that improve user adoption.
Core Responsibilities
Design and develop customized education programs grounded in adult learning principles and best‑practice delivery methods
Plan, write, edit, and organize instructor‑led training materials, storyboards, and eLearning content including WBT, CBT, and other digital learning modules
Conduct training needs assessments and translate findings into course objectives and learning design plans
Partner with subject matter experts and client stakeholders to gather information and develop blended learning solutions
Create evaluation tools such as knowledge checks, assessments, and course evaluations
Participate in content review, revision, and approval cycles
Lead Train‑the‑Trainer sessions and support future training delivery efforts as needed
Provide application, methodology, and industry knowledge to strengthen learning content and delivery
Build strong client relationships through high‑quality service and delivery
Provide status updates, identify issues, and support problem solving throughout the project lifecycle
Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Technologies
Proven ability to develop engaging and effective training curriculum that supports knowledge transfer and user adoption
3 years of experience with major ERP systems
At least 2 years of experience working with SAP modules
Strong instructional design background, including adult learning principles and training development methods
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Professional presence and demeanor
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience
Ability to travel nationally on a weekly basis
Preferred Skills or Experience
SAP S/4HANA project experience
Professional services or Big 4 consulting background
Classroom training experience
Work Details
Location: Remote
Duration: 7 months
Interview Process: Insight then client
Travel: Currently remote, with expected Monday through Thursday travel to client site in the future
