JOB SUMMARY

This role develops and leads integrated marketing efforts to advance brand awareness, consideration, credibility, engagement, and long‑term preference among B2B audiences, with a primary focus on Stop Loss insurance solutions. Employed by Highmark Health, the position provides dedicated marketing strategy and execution support for HM Insurance Group, partnering closely with business stakeholders to align marketing strategies with brand and business priorities. The Senior Marketing Strategist designs and executes integrated marketing campaigns targeted to brokers, consultants, and other B2B partners, supporting HM Insurance Group’s Stop Loss products. Campaigns may include brand‑building initiatives, thought leadership, digital and social tactics, advertising, web experiences, and sales enablement support. This role requires a hands‑on, highly versatile marketer who can set strategic direction while actively partnering in execution, comfortably moving between high‑level strategy and tactical implementation. The Senior Marketing Strategist brings strong fluency in brand marketing, web strategy, and channel optimization, collaborating with marketing research, internal matrix partners, and external vendors to deliver insight‑driven programs. The Senior Marketing Strategist leads the development of marketing project briefs, working with key stakeholders to define objectives, audience insights, positioning, key messages, and measurement approaches. The role applies a strong understanding of complex B2B buying cycles and multi‑stakeholder decision‑making, where brand trust and credibility are critical. The role ensures the delivery of high‑quality, on‑strategy marketing programs within defined timelines and budgets and leads communication of marketing plans, performance, and outcomes to senior stakeholders across HM Insurance Group. This position manages and optimizes campaign and project budgets and evaluates outcomes to distill customer insights, competitive intelligence, and market trends relevant to Stop Loss and B2B insurance. These insights inform future strategies and guide ongoing optimization of brand reach, engagement, and channel effectiveness, leveraging digital and web performance signals to improve ROI/ROMI. Success in this role requires a marketer who can build credibility quickly, strong collaboration skills, ability to influence, balance competing priorities, and thrive in a fast‑paced, matrixed environment, demonstrating sound judgment, adaptability, and a focus on delivering measurable brand and business impact. This role can be hybrid or remote. If you live within 50 miles of an office you are required to be onsite 3 days a week (T,W,Th).

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Develop integrated (360) marketing campaigns to advance, acquisition, retention, and engagement objectives for the business to business audiences, the business to consumer audiences, providers, products and services. Work with the marketing research, matrix partners and external vendors to execute tactics and integrated marketing campaigns to include advertising, direct marketing, social and digital tactics. Lead the development of comprehensive marketing project briefs with moderate to high visibility, in collaboration with key stakeholders, matrix partners and marketing research to define marketing brief objectives, identify key insights, positioning, key messages and tracking. Develop forecasts for marketing activities, responses and leads. Develop business cases to support new marketing strategies, budget requests, projects and marketing plans. Work with marketing team member(s) to assure the execution of high quality marketing strategies within defined timeframe. Lead communication of marketing plans and outcomes to key stakeholders and senior management. Ensure brand alignment to increase brand awareness and equity. Ensure necessary approvals and adheres to current processes and corporate, federal and state guidelines. Track and measure marketing outcomes including marketing activities, response, leads, sales, retention and ROI/ROMI. Evaluate campaign outcomes, distills customer insights, competitive and environmental trends to refine current marketing strategies and to develop future marketing strategies. Work with internal matrix partners and external vendors to develop and optimize budget resources to meet objectives and improve ROI/ROMI. Bachelor's Degree – Marketing, Business or related field Substitutions - 6 years' experience PREFERRED EDUCATION

Master's Degree – Marketing, Business or related field EXPERIENCE

Minimum

5 years' experience coordinating the end to end delivery of a variety of marketing projects Experience with marketing plan development and tactical deployment planning Experience working in project management tools suites and budget management Experience in the marketing of health or other insurance products is preferred Experience evaluating creative Initiating research projects Develop forecast and ROI analysis Leading cross functional work groups KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

Demonstrated experience in creativity, marketing strategy work or in marketing project management Organization and project management Demonstrated experience working across multiple organization to successful completion of project Experience in effectively prioritizing and managing a large volume of projects to completion Excellent business writing skills High standard of professional conduct Demonstrated ability to manage a budget Ability to complete work using the following software packages; word,excel,ppt TRAVEL REQUIREMENT
