Position Overview We are hiring a
Sales Manager
to lead, develop, and scale a high-performing sales team within a rapidly growing painting and coatings company.
This is not an administrative role. This position is responsible for:
Driving revenue growth
Managing sales performance
Enforcing standards and accountability
Improving close rates, margins, and production quality of sold work
You will be directly responsible for
team output , not just individual sales.
Key Responsibilities Team Leadership & Accountability
Manage and coach a team of project consultants (sales reps)
Conduct weekly performance reviews and pipeline tracking
Hold reps accountable to KPIs:
Close rate
Average job size
Gross profit %
Follow-up consistency
Revenue & Performance Management
Drive total company revenue through structured sales processes
Monitor and improve gross profit margins across all sold work
Identify underperforming reps and take corrective action
Sales Process Optimization
Enforce standardized estimating and proposal processes
Improve conversion rates through training and scripting
Ensure clean handoff from sales to operations
Recruiting & Training
Assist in recruiting and onboarding new sales reps
Train team on:
Estimating accuracy
Customer communication
Closing techniques
Maintain a high-performance culture
Compensation Structure
Override:
Percentage of total team gross profit
On-Target Earnings:
~$120,000 at current production levels
Upside:
Scales with company growth (no cap)
