Pro Paint Sales Specialist
Collaborate with 3M’s Consumers Business Group Home Improvement division as a Field Sales Representative. You will work with innovative people worldwide to drive sales, build relationships, and deliver 3M’s value proposition to end‑user customers.
Responsibilities
Drive 3M sales and revenue to assigned distribution in managed territories.
Manage multiple active sales opportunities at several end‑user sites and locations.
Establish and maintain customer relationships through a comprehensive understanding of the customer’s business and sales models.
Introduce new products and communicate promotions to relevant customers and prospects.
Present and reinforce the 3M value proposition to differentiate 3M from competitive offerings.
Maintain and update a working sales plan with strategies and tactics to achieve annual sales forecasts.
Share best practices with the team to promote a positive team environment.
Company Vehicle This position requires driving a company vehicle and will require pre‑employment and ongoing review of motor vehicle history for candidates who are offered and hired for this position.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution.
One (1) year of combined experience in Outside Sales/Inside Sales in a private, public, government or military environment.
Current, valid driver’s license is required.
Additional Qualifications
Account management experience; Salesforce.com experience is desired.
Skills include solution selling, listening, and gaining commitment.
Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing work environment.
Strong organizational skills, with the ability to stay on tasks and maintain high productivity levels while working both in‑field and at home office.
Previous home improvement / construction related experience preferred.
Fluency in English and Spanish preferred.
Work Location & Travel Remote – Territory will cover Indianapolis, IN. Travel may include up to 50% domestic.
Compensation & Benefits Expected compensation range: $80,810 – $98,767, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay if eligible. Benefits may include medical, dental, vision, health savings accounts, flexible spending accounts, disability, life insurance, voluntary benefits, paid absences, and retirement benefits.
Legal Requirements Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without sponsorship for an employment visa status (e.g., H1B).
