
Regional Sales Manager

Overview
As we move forward with the growth and expansion of Residential Metal Roofing (RMR) within Metal Solutions, the Regional Sales Manager will be an instrumental part of the strategic planning and implementation.
This role will be based and travel within the Mid-West.
Scope
Manages a team of ten to thirteen sales managers across a large geographic region.
Responsible for over $110M in revenue with objectives to aggressively grow.
Responsibilities
Establish sales targets to meet company objectives.
Develop strategic sales plans based on company goals to promote sales growth and customer satisfaction.
Partner with business development to extract maximum value from project specifications to drive increased close ratios and margin expansion.
Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to drive a coordinated go‑to‑market strategy.
Integrate newly acquired company (Metal Sales) – culture, processes.
Essential Functions
Develop an annual sales plan in support of the RMR organization strategy and objectives.
Direct implementation and execution of sales policies and practices.
Coach and grow the sales team on the use of Sales Challenger methodology and tools such as CRM.
Ensure communications are coordinated, support sales plan objectives and meet organizational expenditure requirements in conjunction with marketing.
Coordinate growth strategies with Business Development to expand market share for metal roof and wall on all types of building projects and in new categories.
Recommend sales strategies for improvement based on market research and competitor analyses.
Lead integration initiatives to support M&A strategy.
Create a sales culture where exceptional customer service is the standard.
Drive sales performance through acquisition and development of exceptional talent.
Build, develop and manage a sales team capable of carrying out needed sales and service initiatives.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, sales, marketing, or a related field is required.
Ten or more years in a sales leadership role, including executive‑level experience, is required.
Strong knowledge and experience in technical‑oriented product selling.
Equivalent experience in a similar industry or product field is preferred.
Exceptional leadership, interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to lead successfully in a matrixed environment.
Ability to influence leadership to adopt new ideas, products or approaches.
Proven track record of leading teams to execute on strategy and deliver superior results.
Remote office location is acceptable, with frequent travel required – approximately 60% (2–3 overnight trips per week).
Benefits
US base salary range: $125,000 – $165,000
plus sales incentives.
