What You’ll Do The Digital Product Management Summer (June - August) Intern will support the Digital Product team in delivering and improving ecommerce experiences across a portfolio of nine brand websites. Reporting to the Director of Digital Product, this role offers hands‑on exposure to the digital product lifecycle while supporting initiatives that impact both the customer experience and business performance.
This internship provides an opportunity to learn how ecommerce products are built, tested, launched, and optimized at scale. The intern will work closely with cross‑functional teams including QA, development, UX design, merchandising, and project management to support research, testing, documentation, and analysis related to digital product improvements.
In this role, you will help analyze ecommerce experiences across multiple brand sites, identify opportunities for improvement, support testing initiatives, and contribute to quality assurance and product documentation. Through these activities, you will gain exposure to how product teams evaluate ideas, measure impact, and continuously improve digital experiences through experimentation, data analysis, and cross‑team collaboration.
Expected outcomes include supporting comparative analysis across brand ecommerce sites, assisting with feature testing and QA processes, helping with A/B test setup and results analysis, and maintaining documentation that supports successful product releases.
What you’ll be working on Product Development & Agile Processes
Support the Digital Product team in executing initiatives that improve the ecommerce customer experience
Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, backlog grooming, and stand‑ups
Assist with writing and refining user stories, acceptance criteria, and product requirements
Support the team throughout the product lifecycle of new features, from discovery through launch
Product Testing & Quality Assurance
Conduct QA testing for new features and site updates to ensure quality and usability
Assist with pre‑launch QA, including verifying requirements, testing edge cases, and checking for regression issues
Support post‑launch monitoring to confirm features are functioning as expected
Support the QA function by identifying, logging, and tracking bugs across ecommerce sites
Research, Analytics & Site Analysis
Perform comparative analysis across multiple brand ecommerce sites to identify UX patterns, inconsistencies, and opportunities for improvement
Analyze customer feedback, site analytics, and user behavior to inform product recommendations
Conduct competitor research and benchmarking to support product decisions
Support the setup and coordination of A/B tests and assist with analyzing results
Help assess the impact of product changes on ecommerce performance metrics
Assist UX design efforts by reviewing Figma files and validating implemented experiences against design specifications
Contribute to documentation including SOPs, product documentation, and release notes
Must Haves
Currently enrolled university student, currently pursuing a degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, Marketing, or a related field
Available to work up to 20 hours per week
Able to work onsite in our NYC office
Strong willingness to learn and take on new challenges
Comfortable working independently with guidance
Strong interest in digital product management and ecommerce
Strong organizational and communication skills with attention to detail
Comfort working with data and performing analysis to generate insights
Ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams in a fast‑paced environment
Experience reviewing or working with design files in Figma is a plus
Familiarity with Agile product development processes is a plus
Experience using Shopify is a plus
Exposure to basic technical concepts such as HTML, CSS, or APIs is a plus
Primary Location Salary Range The hourly rate for an undergraduate student intern in New York is $18. The hourly rate for a graduate student intern in New York is $22.
