DAVIS Construction , is seeking an experienced
Superintendent
to lead on‑site field operations for large commercial projects across the DMV. This full‑time, on‑site role is ideal for a construction leader with
Healthcare and/or strong MEP experience —though candidates with backgrounds in
Education, Residential/Multi‑Family, Base Building, and other commercial sectors

You’ll oversee day‑to‑day construction activities, manage subcontractors and field staff, drive schedule and quality, and partner closely with the Project Manager to ensure successful project delivery. On‑site, Rockville, MD (HQ-based with regional project assignments) Frequent jobsite presence required What You’ll Do
Lead daily site operations, safety enforcement, subcontractor oversight, and field coordination Manage site logistics, sequencing, and execution to meet project schedules Partner with the Project Manager to develop and maintain the CPM schedule Review submittals, RFIs, shop drawings, and ensure installation aligns with contract documents Supervise, mentor, and support field teams—including foremen and project superintendents Conduct and document daily reports, safety audits, quality checks, and progress tracking Coordinate inspections, punch list completion, and full project closeout Build strong relationships with clients, design teams, subcontractors, and internal teams Participate in pursuit efforts, preconstruction planning, and proposal development What You Bring
Minimum
4+ years
of supervisory construction experience (GC experience strongly preferred) Proven ability to manage site activity, subcontractor performance, safety, and schedule Strong technical understanding of building systems and construction means/methods Experience in safety management, including OSHA requirements; OSHA 30, CPR, and First Aid required (or obtained shortly after hire) Proficiency with scheduling software, project management tools, and Microsoft Office Excellent communication, documentation, and problem‑solving skills Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred Why DAVIS Construction
