The
Territory Manager
role is focused on proactive business development and independent sales execution while building strong, long-term partnerships with customers. This position is responsible for driving revenue growth through both existing national accounts and new market opportunities while coordinating operational activities that support sales performance.
Key Responsibilities include:
Achieving or surpassing assigned sales targets while effectively incorporating marketing initiatives such as promotional campaigns, product launches, and distribution strategies.
Consistently utilizing CRM systems such as Salesforce and other digital tools to manage client relationships, monitor sales activities, and track performance metrics.
Maintaining regular communication with customers, including distributors and end users, to strengthen relationships and identify needs.
Collaborating closely with internal teams including product management, purchasing, and distribution to ensure alignment on product introductions, sales strategies, and order fulfillment.
Identifying new market segments, potential clients, and growth opportunities to expand the customer base.
Demonstrating and communicating the technical features and benefits of company products to distributors and end customers.
Establishing credibility as a trusted industry resource by participating in sales meetings, trade events, and distributor conferences when needed.
Supporting and educating distribution partners to effectively promote and sell the company’s products.
Adhering to company guidelines regarding travel approvals, expense reporting, and operational procedures.
Assisting leadership with special assignments and cross-functional initiatives when required.
Required Qualifications The ideal candidate will have prior experience in
industrial safety environments
along with a proven track record in
territory or industrial sales . Since the organization relies heavily on digital tools to enhance productivity, applicants should be comfortable working with technology platforms such as
Salesforce (CRM), Slack (communication), Google Workspace , and other analytics or research tools.
Candidates must also be open to
frequent travel , as the role requires significant time visiting customers and distribution partners. Although the position is home-based, travel within the assigned territory will be substantial. A solid understanding of
manufacturing, distribution, and wholesale operations , as well as knowledge of the target market, is essential.
Commission:
Quarterly incentive plan with earning potential up to $40,000 based on performance
