Fiber Construction Manager – Telecommunications (Full-Time | Direct Hire)
We are seeking an experienced
Fiber Construction Manager
to oversee
aerial and underground fiber network construction projects
from design through completion. This role plays a critical part in ensuring projects are delivered
on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards
while coordinating closely with contractors, utilities, and local agencies.
This position requires strong
project management, technical knowledge of OSP construction, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Manage all aspects of
fiber construction projects (OSP/ISP, aerial and underground)
from planning through completion
Develop
bid packages and select subcontractors
through competitive processes
Oversee
permitting, licensing, and coordination with local and state agencies
Manage
construction schedules, budgets, and vendor performance
Conduct
constructability reviews and maintain project tracking systems
Coordinate
ordering and delivery of third-party materials
Serve as
safety observer and quality assurance representative
for field operations
Provide
regular project updates to leadership and stakeholders
Troubleshoot
onsite construction challenges and implement solutions
Ensure compliance with
telecommunications construction standards and safety regulations
Promote a culture of
safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement
Qualifications
3+ years of telecommunications construction management experience
Knowledge of
OSP construction techniques and right-of-way (ROW) requirements
Familiarity with
CA GO95, GO128, NESC, NEC, and OSHA standards
Strong
project management and Microsoft Office skills
Ability to
travel 50–90% to project sites
PMP certification
is a plus
Excellent
communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Strong commitment to
safety and operational excellence
