About The Opportunity Our client, a nationally recognized and highly respected practice, is seeking an experienced Affordable Housing & LIHTC Transactions Attorney to join their growing team. This fully remote position offers the opportunity to lead sophisticated real estate and financing transactions while working on impactful affordable housing developments nationwide.

This role is ideal for a motivated attorney who thrives in complex, multi-party transactions and is eager to take ownership of high-level matters with strong institutional support.

Key Responsibilities

Lead purchase and sale transactions, including negotiations, documentation, title review, due diligence, and property transfers

Draft and negotiate easements, licenses, joint use, and cost-sharing agreements

Manage construction-to-permanent financing conversions, including conventional and multi-source government financing

Handle complex real estate financing involving private, nonprofit, and governmental lenders, tax credit investors, and funds

Coordinate debt, equity, and overall project structures with limited supervision

Develop working knowledge of economic projections, tax credit structures, and investor requirements

Identify and resolve issues related to capital accounts, minimum gain, and compliance

Draft legal opinions with minimal oversight

Build strong relationships with state and local agencies

Serve as a trusted advisor on public-private partnership matters

Qualifications

Strong experience in affordable housing, LIHTC, or complex real estate/financing transactions

Ability to independently manage negotiations, documentation, and project workflows

Proven ability to handle multi-faceted transactions with numerous stakeholders

Excellent communication and client service skills

Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated
