Job Description
The Marketing and Communications Specialist will support the planning, coordination, and promotion of events across our markets. This role plays an important part in delivering high-quality client, community, and associate experiences while ensuring all event materials reflect the M C Bank brand. Expectations
Event Planning & Coordination
Plan and coordinate a variety of events throughout the year, including client and board events, community sponsorships, associate gatherings, ribbon cuttings, and bank-hosted programs. Maintain event calendars and planning timelines. Coordinate mailing lists, invitations, and RSVP tracking for events. Manage event logistics including venue coordination, vendor communication, catering, signage, event setup, and post-event follow-up. Track event budgets and assist with vendor contracts and invoices. Coordinate internal communications to ensure teams are aligned on event timelines and responsibilities. Provide onsite event support to ensure a high-quality guest experience. Assist with photography coordination and post-event marketing content. Marketing & Creative Production
Create invitations, flyers, signage, social media graphics, and promotional materials using Canva, Illustrator, or similar design platforms. Assist with maintaining brand consistency across all marketing and communication materials. Design graphics for internal communications, announcements, and presentations. Support email marketing efforts for event promotion and communications. Assist with marketing projects and community engagement initiatives. Provide administrative and marketing support as needed. Qualifications and Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Event Management, or a related field preferred. Two (2) or more years of experience in event planning, marketing, communications, or a related field. Experience coordinating with vendors including scheduling, follow-up, and documentation collection preferred. Experience using Canva, Illustrator, or other graphic design tools. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Strong proficiency with common productivity tools including email, spreadsheets, and document management platforms. Experience with email marketing tools or social media platforms is a plus. Strong organizational and project management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously. Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external vendors. Competencies
