We are seeking a versatile Instructional Designer with strong video production expertise to join our team. The ideal candidate will design and develop innovative learning experiences through high-quality video content that brings learning to life. Responsibilities
Partner with stakeholders, subject matter experts, and L&D colleagues to design engaging learning solutions across multiple modalities. : Apply adult learning principles and instructional design models to ensure learning aligns with business goals. Content creation : Create storyboards, design documents, scripts, and other assets as needed. Concept Development:
Collaborate with stakeholders to develop creative and engaging video concepts aligned with project objectives and audience needs. Plan and coordinate activities including scriptwriting, casting, location scouting and booking, and equipment setup/maintenance. Video Shooting:
Operate camera equipment in the studio and on location to capture professional, high-quality footage. Video Editing:
Edit footage using industry-standard tools (Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve or equivalents) to produce polished final deliverables. Motion Graphics:
Enhance videos with animations, motion graphics, and visual effects. Oversee audio mixing, color correction, and final delivery of video assets. AI use:
Utilize AI tools like Synthesia, Microsoft Azure or equivalents, to produce avatar video, voice over etc. Collaboration & Project Management:
Manage projects from scoping to delivery, balancing multiple priorities and ensuring timelines and budgets are met. Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing updates and guiding both executive-level participants and notice employee actors through filming. Work closely with team members (instructional designers, SMEs, vendors, talent, and leadership) to ensure learning solutions are cohesive and impactful. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Film/Video Production, Education, Communications, or related field (preferred). Minimum 5-7 years of experience in instructional design, learning development, or related field, including proven experience in professional video production. Strong portfolio demonstrating instructional design solutions and high-quality video projects including live action, motion graphics and hybrid. Proficiency with video editing and production software (Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, After Effects, Cinema 4D, etc.). Understanding of video production techniques (lighting, sound, camera operation). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to work confidently with executives and employees. Strong organizational and time management skills; able to manage multiple projects independently and collaboratively. Technology Requirements
Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, or equivalent What does a typical day look like?
Selecting talent, planning to shoot days, setting up camera, lighting, microphones, etc., working with talent, editing, and review cycles. Preferred background/prior work experience?
Work on educational projects, corporate comms. Priority soft skills
Ability to work with amateur talent, including senior leaders. Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in a corporate education, training, or L&D environment. Familiarity with eLearning development tools (Articulate 360, Captivate, Camtasia, etc.). Experience with video conferencing and live streaming platforms. Demonstrated project management skills, including the ability to document processes and coordinate contributions from others. Familiarity with AI productivity tools like ChatGPT, Copilot etc.
