What You'll be Doing Provide leadership for instructional improvement initiatives aligned with state standards, district goals, and research-based teaching practices to improve student learning. Coach and mentor principals, vice principals, and instructional leaders while facilitating leadership development programs that strengthen instructional leadership across the district. Oversee the district assessment system, coordinate required state and local assessments, and lead data analysis to inform instructional strategies and school improvement efforts. Partner with school leaders to develop and monitor School Improvement Plans and implement Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) to address academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs. Guide instructional walkthroughs, observation and feedback systems, and professional learning to improve teaching quality and promote equitable, culturally responsive practices. Maintain accurate data systems, ensure compliance with state and federal requirements, supervise assigned staff, and provide reports and recommendations to district leadership and the school board.
What We Offer Salary: $140,425 - $167,675 (Salary dependent upon education and experience.) M/D/V insurance, Life insurance, Retirement benefits, Paid sick leave and Paid time off. Working days: 5 days per week / 260 days per year
What You'll Need Education: Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in a job-related area. Experience: Experience as a principal/assistant principal preferred. Licenses/Certificates/Registration: Must have a Washington State Principal Certificate and WA State Teaching Certificate. Must meet WA State Certification Criteria. Minimum qualifications: Five years of effective K–12 classroom teaching experience required. Two (2) years of building- or district-level leadership experience required.

Work Environment The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling, some climbing and balancing, some stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling and some fine finger dexterity. Generally the job requires 50% sitting, 25% walking, and 25% standing. The job is performed under minimal temperature variations and in a generally hazard free environment.
