Role Description
The main anchor will review and present newscasts to viewers, produce & write special reports, represent station and community events, and produce if needed. The El Paso/Las Cruces area covers more than 1 million people, not counting the 1.5 million across the border. It's a busy breaking news market with national & international implications due to its location. KVIA-TV is a legacy station – we are looking for a newsroom leader, excellent communicator and a journalist who develops contacts and breaks stories. Qualifications
Five (5) years of proven skills in Reporting, Broadcasting, and Broadcast Journalism Strong abilities in News Writing and script preparation Exceptional presentation and communication skills as a Presenter Experience with live studio and on-location broadcasts Ability to work under tight deadlines with strong organizational skills Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field preferred Ability to work effectively in a team environment and adapt to evolving news cycles Good Presentation Skills How to apply please submit your cover letter, resume and demo reel.
