Position Overview We are seeking a talented, concept-driven Designer to create original stained glass artwork for an array of liturgical and commercial clients. This role blends classical draftsmanship with modern design tools to translate a client’s vision into beautiful stained glass windows—ranging from traditional and plated glass styles to painted and fused techniques.
You’ll work collaboratively with experienced craftspeople, painters, and artists while developing the design process from early concept through finished scaled designs for production ready artwork. This is a full-time remote role with meaningful opportunities for growth, learning, and professional development.
Primary Design Responsibilities
Create concept sketches and refined drawings that align with client goals, themes, and architectural constraints
Develop stained glass window designs across multiple styles from traditional to contemporary for architectural instillations, interior environments and public art.
Create production ready artwork utilizing traditional art techniques and computer aided programs like Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Procreate and SketchUp.
Produce final layouts/cartoons and prepare artwork for internal production teams
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure designs translate effectively into glass and meet quality standards
Partner with clients (and internal project stakeholders) to bring concepts to life through artistic interpretation and iteration
Interpret a broad range of themes—from Christian symbolism and liturgical storytelling to commercial and contemporary subject matter
Participate in design reviews, incorporate feedback, and manage revisions with professionalism and care
Administrative & Support Work
Support design workflow through research, client preparation, email communication, and data input
Maintain organized digital files, project notes, and design documentation to support a smooth handoff to production
Required Skills & Qualifications
Strong draftsmanship/drawing ability (including a solid understanding of human anatomy)
Proven eye for color, composition, and visual storytelling
Demonstrated creativity and conceptual design capability
Ability to manage assigned work independently while collaborating effectively with a team
A strong portfolio demonstrating breadth and skill across multiple mediums and styles
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with Stained Glass Medium
Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator

Modern/conceptual art examples
Graphic design and/or illustration samples
