Position Summary

The Willet Stained Glass Studios Finance Leader will be responsible for managing the company’s financials and reporting needs. This role helps ensure the company remains financially strong and well-positioned to support day-to-day operations, meet lender requirements and debt obligations, and invest in future growth. The Finance Leader will play an important strategic role in financial planning, resource and capital allocation, and supporting executive leadership with decision-making around pricing, investments, and strategic initiatives, while also helping safeguard company assets and optimize capital structure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee Revenue Recognition and Contract to Cash Collections Cycle
  • Oversee the input of estimates in QB for contracts and projects
  • Develop and maintain revenue recognition processes
  • Ensure adequate audit support for revenue recognition, billing, and collections
  • Calculate and book unearned revenues and cost deferrals per GAAP
  • Drive improvements in DSO and reduce uncollectable balances
  • Ensure adequate and timely compliance with state tax requirements

Commission and Bonus Processing

  • Track work and sales for commission processing
  • Prepare calculations for commissions and bonus payouts
  • Ensure all payouts are completed timely and accurately through Paylocity
  • Account for all accruals for commissions and bonuses

Project Costing and Other Special Projects

  • Develop processes to track project-level margin and cost allocations
  • Support strategic initiatives through tracking of cash and expenses
  • Support any M&A activities, from due diligence through deal signoff and integration

Controls and Compliance

  • Maintain strong internal controls to help prevent fraud
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for Willet Stained Glass Studios
  • Support audit procedures with external auditors to help ensure a clean audit

Coordination with Group Finance Support

  • Support data provision for journal entries related to PP&E, procurement, and payroll
  • Review and approve large capital expenditures and spend amounts in accordance with company delegated authority
  • Support reporting requirements for decision-making, close, and reporting to Aspen Mountain Partners

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Finance, Accounting, or Economics
  • MBA or CPA/CFA/CTP preferred
  • 8+ years of finance, controllership, and accounting experience
  • Small team managerial experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of revenue recognition and cost accounting
  • Proven ability to manage banking and capital markets relationships
  • High attention to detail with strong integrity and compliance focus
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Office
  • Experience with accounting and ERP systems such as QBOL, NetSuite, Oracle, or SAP

Work Schedule

  • Full-time (40 hours/week), Monday–Friday
