Orthopedic Surgeon
Highly motivated individual needed for a clinical position serving as team lead, overseeing day‑to‑day operations of assigned clinic team and support staff.
Duties
Interaction with administrative and clinical staff including front desk, medical records, nursing, and ancillary services to ensure maximum utilization of resources and efficient delivery of services.
Oversee day‑to‑day clinic activities and schedule.
Schedule patients for surgery and advise them of pre‑surgical requirements including laboratory orders and/or x‑rays. Review surgical documents with patients.
Maintain surgical schedule and serve as liaison between staff and authorization department.
Coordinate scheduling of patient tests and post‑ops.
Document patient phone calls, prescription refill messages, and obtain physician signatures.
Ensure patient phone calls are retrieved and returned in a timely manner.
Supervise other clinical support members of the physician's team, delegating responsibilities to assure efficient delivery of services.
Communicate with staff and physician regularly to ensure quality of service and meet physician and patient needs.
Coordinate physician meetings accordingly.
Education Certified Medical Assistant. Preferred licensed LVN or RN.
Experience Minimum three years clinical experience. Must have prior office‑setting experience and clinical knowledge.
Abilities Strong leadership and effective communication skills. Excellent planning, organization, and management skills. Ability to multi‑task, work in a fast‑paced environment, and demonstrate team cooperation.
Job Type Full‑time – Monday through Friday with a few rotating Saturday mornings. Traveling involved from one clinic to another based on physician schedule. Dependable transportation required.
