About the position We are seeking a highly skilled and visually driven Art Director to lead the design execution and aesthetic quality of our creative output across all channels. This role focuses on the “how” of the brand – translating high-level creative direction into visually compelling, technically sound assets that elevate the brand experience.

Working closely with the Executive Creative Director and Copy Director, the Art Director will concept and develop creative that brings brand campaigns and communications to life. This role also provides daily guidance and mentorship to the design team, ensuring work meets the highest standards of craft, consistency, and brand integrity.

The Art Director reports directly to the Creative Operations Director to maintain alignment on project prioritization, team capacity, and workflow visibility, while maintaining a dotted-line relationship with the Executive Creative Director to ensure creative vision and brand standards are executed at the highest level.

You enjoy mentoring designers, elevating craft across a team, and ensuring that every asset - from campaign work to franchisee tools - reflects a cohesive and polished brand presence. You are comfortable collaborating with writers, marketers, and leadership, and you bring both creative inspiration and technical rigor to every project.

Essential Functions

Creative Direction & Design Execution:

Lead the daily design and production of creative assets across all channels, ensuring work meets brand standards for visual quality, consistency, and technical execution.

Concept Development:

Collaborate with the Executive Creative Director and Copy Director to concept and develop brand and campaign communications, translating strategic ideas into compelling visual assets.

Art Direction:

Art direct and design projects from concept through final delivery, providing clear visual direction, sketches, roughs, and layouts to communicate ideas effectively.

Design Team Leadership:

Provide daily guidance, coaching, and mentorship to designers, production artists, and multimedia creators to strengthen design craft and production capabilities.

Brand Consistency:

Ensure visual consistency across all brand touchpoints by reviewing work at both a detailed level (typography, color, layout) and at a holistic campaign level.

Creative Production Systems:

Oversee the creation of scalable design templates and toolkits that support franchisee marketing needs and maintain brand integrity.

Project Collaboration:

Lead the creative direction of projects once scoped by the Creative Operations Director, serving as the technical and creative lead for designers while the COD manages timelines and stakeholder expectations.

Workflow & Process Alignment:

Partner with the Creative Operations Director to refine the creative project lifecycle, ensuring designers have the structure, timelines, and resources necessary to deliver high-quality work.

What We Need Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree required (BFA preferred)

3-5+ years of experience in an Art Director or Senior Designer role with team leadership responsibilities

Experience directing creative work from concept through production across multiple channels

Experience with brand development and multi‑unit or franchise brand environments preferred

Strong portfolio demonstrating high‑quality visual design, campaign work, and brand systems

Technical Expertise

Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite including Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Premiere

Working knowledge of print production processes, materials, substrates, and display systems

General knowledge of photography with the ability to concept and direct photo shoots

Experience developing brand identity systems and logo design

Additional Requirements

Strong conceptual thinking with the ability to collaborate effectively with copywriters and marketing partners

Ability to sketch or visualize design concepts clearly

Highly organized with strong file management and production discipline

Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast‑paced creative environment

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Collaborative mindset with strong team‑building capabilities

Creative problem‑solver with the ability to think beyond conventional solutions

Must reside in the Dallas metroplex or relocate within 90 days of employment.
