Marketing Specialist
Join the Lee County Visitor & Convention Bureau (VCB) Marketing Team! Help showcase the beauty, culture, and experiences of Southwest Florida by supporting the marketing efforts that promote the islands, beaches, and neighborhoods of Fort Myers. As a Marketing Specialist, you'll play an important role in creating digital content, supporting partner programs, and helping keep our online information fresh and accurate. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, collaborative, and creative environment. Duties and Responsibilities Marketing Campaign Support Assist with marketing campaigns and promotions. Organize marketing materials and help keep content updated across platforms. Track campaign progress, partner participation, and project timelines. Content & Social Media Support Review and organize user-generated photos and videos. Help with social calendar planning and content creation for partner-facing channels. Assist in producing short videos and photo editing. Keep digital file libraries organized. Website & Digital Content Update partner listings, events, deals and destination information on the industry website. Help create or refresh landing pages and seasonal content. Ensure website information is accurate, clear, and current. Partner Programs & Promotions Work with local tourism partners to gather deals, special offers, and program updates. Manage Bandwango digital passes and related promotions. Encourage partner engagement in marketing initiatives. Operations & Team Support Provide general administrative support for the marketing team. Help prepare reports, organize content, and support internal marketing requests. Maintain marketing calendars. Perform other duties as assigned. Education, Experience, Licensing Minimum Requirements Any combination of education and experience equivalent to an Associate degree or two years of college in business, marketing, hospitality, or a closely related field, such as: Marketing or Communications Hospitality or Tourism Management Business Administration Digital Media or Content Production Two (2) years of experience in: Hospitality, tourism, or visitor services Marketing, communications, or digital content Administrative support within a business or marketing setting Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Hospitality/Tourism, or a related field. Experience in tourism, hospitality, attractions, or Destination Marketing Organizations (DMOs). Experience with digital content creation, photography, or video editing. Strong communication and organizational skills. Interest in travel, tourism, and destination marketing. Skills That Will Help You Succeed Strong writing and communication skills. Excellent organization and attention to detail. Comfort with digital content, social media, and editing tools. Ability to work well with partners, vendors, and team members. Creative thinking and a desire to learn. A positive attitude and strong work ethic. Work Schedule:
Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM. Some evenings and weekends may be required for events or special programs. Why Join Us?
