KGO-TV/ABC7 News is on the lookout for a talented and passionate Weekend News Anchor/Reporter to enhance our dynamic team. Strong social media abilities are vital for effective newsgathering and audience interaction.

This role involves anchoring weekend evening newscasts, reporting three days a week, and serving as a fill-in anchor during weekday newscasts. As a reporter, your responsibilities will include producing content for our newscasts, website, and 24/7 streaming service. You will pitch original story ideas, build community connections, and actively maintain your social media presence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Anchor newscasts on linear TV and streaming platforms.
• Report daily stories with a focus on engaging and meaningful content.
• Create digital scripts and uphold a robust social media presence.

Basic Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in a top 50 market.
• Outstanding writing skills and strong news judgment coupled with ethical decision-making abilities.
• Proficient in shooting and editing stories using non-linear desktop editing software.
• Experienced in operating handheld prosumer/consumer cameras and editing for both linear and digital formats.
• Exceptional on-camera presentation abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

Minimum Education Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree.

This full-time position is based in San Francisco, CA, with a salary range of $90,948 to $208,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications. Scheduled hours may vary according to business needs. Compensation may also include bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package.
