This position is a contract-to-hire opportunity with the intention to convert to full-time employee status following the contract period. Rate: $30.00 to $40.00/hr. W2

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, execute, and synthesize qualitative and quantitative UX research, including interviews, surveys, usability testing, heuristic evaluations, and A/B testing.
  • Develop research methodologies aligned with business goals and user needs while ensuring accessibility.
  • Analyze findings and translate insights into actionable recommendations to guide product and design decisions.
  • Utilize analytics tools such as Google Analytics to evaluate user behavior and identify usability issues.
  • Champion user-centered design practices and ensure research insights are integrated across stakeholder teams.
  • Create wireframes, user flows, mockups, and interactive prototypes using tools like Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.
  • Design accessible and visually appealing interfaces for web and application products.
  • Ensure responsive designs optimized for diverse devices and platforms.
  • Incorporate interaction design elements like transitions, animations, and user feedback mechanisms.
  • Conduct accessibility testing and incorporate best practices to meet WCAG standards.
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure proper implementation of accessibility requirements.
  • Engage with product managers, developers, and stakeholders in agile or iterative workflows.
  • Present findings, design rationale, and recommendations effectively during reviews.
  • Proactively communicate progress and identify potential risks or gaps.

Experience Requirements:

  • U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in UX research, wireframing, prototyping, and visual design.
  • Proficiency in Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD for at least 4 years.
  • Strong grasp of usability principles, design systems, and WCAG accessibility standards for a minimum of 4 years.
  • Experience conducting user interviews, usability testing, and A/B testing for at least 4 years.
  • At least 1 year of experience using Google Analytics or similar tools to inform decisions.
  • Proficient in creating both low- and high-fidelity designs and interactive prototypes.
  • Understanding of typography, color theory, layout, and visual hierarchy.
  • Ability to develop intuitive interactions and responsive designs across various devices.
  • Expertise in information architecture and navigation design.
  • Proficient with Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite; basic knowledge of HTML/CSS preferred.
  • Experience in planning and iterating designs based on usability feedback.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and critical thinking.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration.
  • Willingness to stay current with evolving UX research methods and design best practices.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience.
