Patient Account Representative
The Patient Account Representative is a key member of the business office team, supporting staff, patients, managers, directors, and physicians. This role requires a positive attitude, professionalism, and adherence to all Allegro Pediatrics policies and procedures. The Patient Account Representative performs business office duties with excellence and helps maintain positive working relationships across the organization. Primary Responsibilities
Listen to and return all voicemails promptly. Log into the phone queue during business hours and respond to all patient account inquiries. Answer backline phone calls from the clinic and provide support as needed. Contact insurance companies to verify eligibility and claims status (e.g., returned claims, ineligible patients, insurance identification issues). Process insurance and patient refunds as necessary. Check insurance websites for eligibility and claims status as needed. Accept credit card payments over the phone. Load and correct insurance information; re-bill accounts as required. Perform side tasks such as Intergy tasks, handling returned mail, processing credit card payments, and billing MVA. Scan insurance information, account status letters, and other relevant documents into Admin Documents. Perform other responsibilities as assigned. Requirements
Previous customer service experience. Reliability and excellent attendance are critical. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Excellent organizational and multi-tasking abilities. Must be 18 years of age or older. Pre-Employment Requirements: Background check. Drug testing in compliance with Washington State Bill 5123. Up-to-date vaccination status (COVID-19, flu, and other required immunizations) at time of hire and annually. Masking requirements: surgical, KN95, or N95 mask at all times in clinic and patient-facing areas. Education

5:00 PM (8-hour shifts with 30-minute unpaid meal break, 40 hours per week). Hybrid schedule: 1 day in-office, 4 days remote per week. Work Environment / Physical Demands
