Customer Service Representative

The primary functions of the Customer Service Representative are to assist internal and external customers by providing product and service information and resolving customer issues. Job duties include: Serving as the first point of contact to assist with customer inquiries and complaints via telephone and email. Providing information about the products and services, pricing, order status, billing, returns and credits. Troubleshooting and resolving product issues and concerns. Documenting and updating customer records based on interactions. Developing and maintaining a knowledge base of the evolving products and services. Ensuring accurate and timely distributor order processing. Confirming pricing, item number/description and quantities are correct. Ability to research issues independently to determine root cause and corrective action needed. Demonstrating follow up action with customers, distributors, sales force, and end users. Providing continuous and responsive support to sales force. Ability to work with other departments such as Shipping, Production, and Purchasing. Heavy filing, contract updates, data entry backup, special projects as needed. Perform other duties as assigned. Skills and qualifications include: Must be able to work Monday-Friday 8am-5pm (not a remote position). Must have strong ability to prioritize, multi-task and problem solve. Must be a team player with a positive attitude and great work ethic whether they are working with others or working unsupervised. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal. Adaptability to work efficiently and effectively daily under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Ability to build rapport with clients. Proficient in Microsoft 365. Proficient in JD Edwards and Halo preferred but not required. Positive and professional demeanor. Education: High School Diploma or equivalent Experience: Minimum of 1-year related experience in customer service, inside sales support or related fields; (experience in retail field is not applicable) Physical requirements - essential: Prolonged periods of sitting Strength, dexterity, coordination, and vision to use keyboard and computer monitor for prolonged periods of time. What we offer: Compensation: This is an hourly non-exempt role. The starting pay range for this role and market is between $17.00-$22.00/hour. Factors that may affect starting pay include geography/market, and the skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. Employees in this role are also eligible to earn overtime when they work more than 40 hours in a week (or as otherwise required by state law).
