Global Director of Supply Chain Planning
is responsible for leading and aligning end-to-end planning activities across regions to support the company's strategic, financial, and operational objectives. This role oversees demand, supply, production, and capacity planning on a global scale, ensuring optimal service levels, inventory performance, and cost efficiency. The Global Director of Planning partners closely with executive leadership, regional teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to drive integrated business planning, improve forecast accuracy, and enable scalable, data-driven decision-making across the organization. This role also overseas all the materials planning and requisitions globally supporting all manufacturing needs and partnering closely with the Sourcing team. This role also supports the overall Operations team with all the data analytics and other digital tools that allow for accurate visibility of the KPIs and trends. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES* In accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws/regulations and Corporate Johnson & Johnson, procedures and guidelines, this position: Own and evolve the S&OP process globally.
This involves all demand plans, build plans, and the escalation processes to work through any issues that arise.
Work closely with commercial and operations partners to sustain a successful process and in accordance with J&J MedTech.
Ensure availability of the appropriate level of raw materials and finished goods inventory and accessories to supply our patients.
This requires close daily, weekly, and monthly collaboration with the Make and Source functions to ensure the plans are achievable and executable to meet predefined goals.
Establish and implement Abiomed's finished goods projection process and the communication chain to keep all levels of the business abreast of progress and of any issues that may arise.
Implement MRP and track both utilization and KPIs on a systematic manner
Identify and lead continuous improvement and digital transformation in the Planning and Materials areas
Managing a multi-layered global organization based both in the USA and Germany. Responsible for driving Credo score improvements aligned with Abiomed's goals and deliver a strong succession plan by developing key talent within the team making the Global Planning team bench stronger.
Represent Global Plan for all scale and process related strategies.
Assess long term Abiomed plans working with cross functional teams to ensure global readiness to produce at scale
