Position Summary We are seeking a skilled Electrical Designer with demonstrated leadership qualities, including the ability to take ownership of design deliverables, influence cross‑functional teams, and guide workstreams with minimal oversight. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on expertise in harness routing using Creo and will support the development and documentation of electrical systems operating at 12V, 24V, and 36V.
Key Responsibilities
Lead design activities related to electrical harness routing in Creo, ensuring high‑quality, manufacturable design outputs
Serve as a technical leader by setting standards, driving decisions, and coordinating work with engineering partners
Develop, model, and optimize electrical wiring harnesses including 3D routing, harness assemblies, and detailed 2D documentation
Use Arcadia to create schematics, wiring diagrams, and signal routing documentation
Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing teams for proper system integration
Apply working knowledge of 12V, 24V, and 36V electrical systems for system‑level design considerations
Maintain part records, BOMs, and ECNs within SAP
Generate and maintain technical documentation using MS Word Suite
Support prototype builds, troubleshoot issues, and drive corrective actions
Ensure compliance with internal standards, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements
Required Qualifications
5 years of experience in electrical design, preferably in harness routing or electrical system integration
Proficiency with Creo, specifically for wiring/harness routing
Experience with Arcadia or similar schematic/eCAD tools
Working knowledge of SAP or comparable PLM/ERP systems
Proficiency with MS Office applications
Strong understanding of 12V, 24V, and 36V electrical system design principles
Demonstrated leadership capability in guiding design workstreams or influencing technical decisions
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in vehicle, heavy equipment, machinery, or industrial systems
Familiarity with wiring and harnessing industry standards
Ability to work effectively in fast‑paced, cross‑functional engineering environments
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, or related field; equivalent experience considered
Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $72,000- $109,500
Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. Tennant Co. reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualifications of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity. Total Compensation = Base Salary + Benefits
