Golf Sponsorship Sales Director

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute customized sponsorship strategies and packages to hit revenue.
  • Identify, prospect, and secure new corporate sponsors.
  • Manage the sales cycle including lead generation, proposal development, negotiation, and closing.
  • Maintain and grow relationships with existing sponsors to drive renewals and upsells.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful sponsor delivery.
  • Prepare presentations, pitch decks, and sponsorship proposals for senior-level decision makers.
  • Track pipeline activity and forecast revenue accurately.
  • Stay current on golf industry trends, sponsorship valuation, and competitive offerings.
  • Represent the organization at tournaments, industry events, and client meetings.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 7–10 years of experience in sports sponsorship sales with a deep understanding of the PGA Tour.
  • Demonstrated ability to close six- and seven-figure sponsorship deals.
  • Strong existing network within golf, sports, media, or corporate marketing.
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience working with brands, agencies, and C-suite stakeholders.
  • Comfortable with travel and event-based work schedules.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sports Management, or related field preferred.
