Lyons Leather Co. is looking for an experienced
Email & SMS Retention Manager
to help strengthen our lifecycle marketing and customer retention strategy. This role will focus on developing and executing high-performing email and SMS campaigns, building advanced segmentation strategies, and optimizing flows that increase repeat purchases and customer lifetime value. The ideal candidate has
deep experience working with DTC ecommerce brands , is highly proficient in
Klaviyo , and understands how to turn retention marketing into a meaningful revenue channel. This is a
part‑time contractor role to start (10–20 hours per week)
with the opportunity to grow as the brand scales. About Lyons Leather Co.

Retention Strategy Develop and execute a
data‑driven email and SMS retention strategy Identify opportunities to increase
customer lifetime value and repeat purchase frequency Build targeted campaigns based on
customer behavior, purchase history, and lifecycle stage Campaign Management
Plan, build, and deploy
email and SMS campaigns
in Klaviyo Develop and maintain a consistent
email calendar
aligned with marketing initiatives and product launches Continuously test subject lines, messaging, and offers to improve performance Lifecycle Flow Optimization
Audit and improve existing
Klaviyo automated flows , including AB testing: Welcome series Abandoned cart Browse abandonment Post‑purchase flows Win‑back campaigns Build new flows that support retention and cross‑selling Segmentation & Personalization
Create advanced
segmentation strategies
based on customer behavior and purchase patterns Personalize messaging to increase engagement and conversion Identify high‑value customer cohorts and develop targeted communication strategies Email Design & Creative
Design visually compelling emails that align with Lyons Leather Co.’s brand aesthetic Work independently or through design resources to produce high‑quality email layouts Collaborate with the marketing team on messaging and creative direction Performance Analysis
Monitor and report on key email and SMS metrics including: revenue per recipient open rates click‑through rates conversion rates list growth Use performance insights to continually refine strategy Qualifications
5+ years experience
managing email marketing for DTC ecommerce brands Advanced expertise in
Klaviyo and Shopify Strong understanding of
retention marketing and lifecycle strategy Proven ability to drive revenue through
segmentation and personalized campaigns A/B testing and experimentation frameworks Working with small but growing ecommerce brands Experience designing email layouts or managing design resources Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret performance data Highly organized and comfortable working independently Role Details
Part‑time contractor (10–20 hours/week) Remote Flexible schedule Opportunity to grow with the brand as retention marketing expands Compensation: $2,500 – $4,000 per month depending on experience and scope of work. In addition to the monthly retainer, this role is eligible for
quarterly performance bonuses
