Packaged Gases Customer Service Representative - Odessa, TX
JOB SUMMARY
Manages sales campaigns with the intent of either schedulingappointments for sales to improve sales productivity or by gaining business viadirect quote/follow up. Assesses customer satisfaction with MTG products andservices via conducting surveys and provides insights for addressing customerconcerns. Works closely with SBU Sales Leaders, Sales, Corporate Marketing andCustomer Service
Essential Functions
Place outbound calls with the prime purpose of schedulingappointments for sales with new or existing customers, notifying sales ofcommitted appointment times and then following up with a courtesy call todetermine customer satisfaction/needs.
Provides quotes or completes the sale, if campaignappropriate to directly gain new business.
Probes and identifies problematic situations/opportunitiesthat could protect or yield new business for MTG and communicates theinformation to the appropriate function for follow up.
Restocks store merchandise as needed. Arranges stock onshelves or racks in sales area and keeps merchandise in order. Marks or ticketsmerchandise.
Manages requests for products, price and technicalinformation.
Assist in warehouse in shipping & receiving, inventorystocking, cleaning, labeling, or other tasks.
Maintains showroom cleanliness by procedures set forth bymanagement.
Identifies sources of leads and manages thepre-qualification process in collaboration with sales and corporate marketing.
Tracks result of outbound campaign efforts.
Backs up inbound customer service, as needed.
Comply with all DOT and OSHA regulations.
Ensure all safety rules are strictly observed.
Perform other projects and duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
High School Graduate with diploma and/or prior experience inoutbound calling/inside sales, outside sales or marketing desirable.
Excellent customer service skills. Ability to establish andmanage customer relationships
Ability to work independently and under some pressure tomeet deadlines.
Demonstrates a clear and effective speaking manner for thepurpose of explaining information to customers and employees.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all unitsof measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to learn MTG’s business/producttypes/organization/transaction systems
Excellent Telephone Communications Skills
Excellent Organizational Skills
Intermediate level knowledge of Microsoft Officeapplications (Word, Excel, Outlook E-mail).
